Frequently asked questions
Questions about SignalCraft research
How the evidence is collected, what reports can and cannot tell you, and how to use the results responsibly.
What is SignalCraft?
SignalCraft is a market intelligence tool for founders. It searches current public sources and produces a structured, source-linked assessment of a business idea or market opportunity.
Is SignalCraft an idea validator?
It can support validation, but it does not claim to prove that an idea will succeed. It evaluates the evidence, highlights contradictions and recommends what should be tested next.
How is it different from asking a general AI assistant?
A general assistant is useful for brainstorming. SignalCraft runs a repeatable research process, searches current sources, classifies evidence and links findings back to the material used.
What sources does it use?
Depending on the market, sources can include public community discussions, reviews, specialist forums, competitor websites and other relevant web material. Weak, duplicated and off-topic results are filtered out.
Does it replace customer interviews?
No. Public evidence is a fast way to identify patterns and sharpen questions, but it cannot replace interviews, prototypes, pilots, payment tests or direct observation.
What kinds of ideas work best?
Ideas with a clearly described customer, problem and geography produce the strongest results. Highly specialised markets with little public discussion may return more uncertainty.
How current is the evidence?
Research is performed when the report is run. Every report records its research date, and a reassessment can be used after the market or positioning changes.
Can SignalCraft guarantee success?
No. Market evidence reduces avoidable uncertainty; it does not remove execution risk, acquisition cost, timing, retention or other factors that only real-world testing can reveal.
What does the free briefing include?
The free briefing presents headline findings and the strongest early signals. A full report adds deeper analysis, sources, commercial risks, competitor context and a founder action plan.
How much does a report cost?
SignalCraft uses one-time report pricing rather than a subscription. Current prices and bundles are listed on the pricing page.
Are submitted ideas public?
No. Submitted ideas and reports are private by default and are not published as public content.
How long does research take?
Most assessments complete within a few minutes, although timing can vary with source availability and processing demand.
Still evaluating the approach?
Review the methodology and a complete sample report before researching your own idea.
